Thanksgiving Yams

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so you should start preparing for it. Have you thought about the menu? You should try the traditional yams. They are very easy to make and surely they will be a success between your guests. Just put them in a tray along with olive oil, salt and pepper. Then put them in the oven and bake them. When you take them out start caramelizing some brown sugar in a sauce pan and then pour water over. Put some lemon juice, sherry, vanilla extract and maple syrup and let this sweet flavorful mix boil for a while. Then pour it over your baked yams and put everything back in the oven again.
