Start by giving an anesthetic injection, then use a scalpel to cut the skin around the knee. You will have to use a tool to shape the shattered bone. Attach new bone implants instead and screw them in. Then staple the wound to shut it. The knee will heal in a few weeks. Now move on to the next stage where you can dress up the patient.
